Zamboanga Sibugay guv Christmas message: β€˜The best is yet to come’

(We post this Christmas Message of Gov. Wilter Yap Palma for the people of Zamboanga Sibugay released by the Office of the Governor. – Editor)

My dear people of Zamboanga Sibugay,

It’s Christmas time again. And it is time to rejoice as we join the whole of Christendom celebrating the birth of the baby in the manger, the only begotten Son of God, sent to the world as the Great Light of salvation.

The year 2019 has not been easy for us. There were challenges – a lot of them – but by God’s grace, we were able to hurdle them one by one.

Your provincial government, amid these challenges, did not succumb, even for a moment, to the demand for development so that everyone will share the blessings of all that we toiled for. We neither sleep nor complacent in the face of these challenges. On the contrary, we worked hard amid difficulties and financial constraints to deliver to you the programs and services even to the most remote barangays of Zamboanga Sibugay.

My office had steered the provincial government to new chapters of development. You are witnesses how your provincial government had worked double-time to deliver what we believe can make a difference in every community and family.

We may have missed some of our targets but it did stop us to work harder to do greater things in the name of public service. Despite the meager resources under our disposal we continue to find ways and means to live up to your mandate and expectations.

It is at this time of the year that we continue to cast all our hopes and dreams for a better, prosperous, and peaceful Zamboanga Sibugay. As we celebrate Christmas, we should also focus our hearts and minds on Him who is the only source of blessings.

This Christmas, together we declare the best is yet to come for Zamboanga Sibugay.

From your provincial government and my family, we wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Gov. Wilter Yap Palma
