Phivolcs record 12 low-intensity earthquake in 12-hour period Saturday

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has recorded 12 low-intensity earthquake in a span of 12 hours on Saturday.

The state agency first tweeted a magnitude 2.6 quake northeast of Pangantucan, Bukidnon past 12 midnight.

Less than an hour later, Phivolcs had monitored a magnitude 3.8 earthquake in Olutanga Island, Zamboanga Sibugay.

At 1:23 a.m., the state agency reported another low-intensity tremor at magnitude 2.2 in Makilala, North Cotabato.

Then came the magnitude 2.3 earthquake in Dagohoy, Bohol at around 2:07 a.m. A 2.3 magnitude earthquake again struck Makilala, North Cotabato 20 minutes later.

Barely nine minutes after, a magnitude 2.4 tremor struck Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte.

The earthquake then went north hitting a magnitude 3.4 quake the town of Jomalig in Quezon Province at 3:30 a.m.

The Phivolcs tweeted another earthquake in Davao Occidental.

And another one that struck Sarangani Province at 5:07 a.m.

At 9:36 a.m., the tremor returned to Kadingilan, Bukidnon with 2.5-magnitude.

From 11:06 a.m. until 11:32 a.m. Phivolcs had recorded two earthquakes. One in Cortes, Surigao del Sur and again in Kadingilan, Bukidnon.
