IPIL, Philippines – The police have arrested two drug suspects in Barangay Bangkerohan, this town Thursday morning, May 16.
Police Col. Jerry Protacio, director of Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Police Office (ZSPPO), had identified the arrested suspects as Michael Adjing Mangis Nonong, and Mobin Mangis Nonong.
The two were arrested after the police, military, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel had conducted the serving of search warrants.
During the search, Michael had yielded one unit cal .45 Grandmaster with SN 8031556, one magazine, one holster, seven live ammunition, one long caliber .45 magazine loaded with eight live ammunition, two short caliber .45 magazine loaded with five live ammunition, and one large heat-sealed with while crystalline granules believed to be shabu.
Mobin, on the other hand, had yielded one unit improvised shotgun with no serial number, one unit caliber .45 Colt MK IV pistol with one magazine which contains seven live ammunition bearing SN 924163, three large and one small heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline granules suspected to be shabu, and various drug paraphernalia.
Inventory of the confiscated items was done in the presence of the village chair, Ruel P. Muyargas, and a representative from the media. Both suspects along with the confiscated evidences were brought to Ipil Municipal Police Station from proper disposition. (Daphne Santuyo)
